Bedrooms/Bathroom

There are three bedrooms in total. The first bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed, ceiling fan and direct access to the bathroom. The second also has a queen size bed and ceiling fan. Both these bedrooms look across the back full length verandah onto paddocks. The third bedroom has two single beds, ceiling fan, wing chair. It looks over the front patio onto the garden.

All bedrooms are comfortable and inviting. Extra blankets are provided if necessary.
The bathroom has a shower/bath and sink, as well as two entrances. One leading to the main bedroom, this can be locked. The other accessible to the rest of the cottage. There is a separate toilet.

Kitchen/Lounge/Dining

This is an open area. There is a fully equiped, spacious kitchen at one end. It has plenty of bench space and allows for easy conversation with other guests in the room. As well as lovely views across the verandah into the front garden. All appliances are electric.

The dining area is in the centre of the room. The table for six again has views, as does the living area. A ceiling fan is located over the table.

There is a three seater leather recliner lounge in the living area. As well as a bean bag. From this vantage the wall mounted tv is easily accessible. A wood coonara heater completes the comfort. There is also a reverse cycle air conditioner in case the wood heater is not required.

Wood for the fire is located in a small shed by the back door.

Grounds

The cottage has two full length verandahs running along the front and back. They are wide allowing plenty of room for chairs and a table, or for children to play in uncertain weather.

A covered gazebo is located next to the cottage. It houses a six seat outdoor setting as well as a built in bbq.
The yard is large, made up of lawn with plenty of room to kick a ball around. There are also patches of garden and small trees. The perimeter is fenced with a hedge and clumps of silver birches. Front garden photo.
Sunflower Cottage is situated on the corner block of a 5 acre farmlet. It is surrounded by small acreages in a lovely, quiet area of Yarra Glen.

Glenn and Louise live in a separate house at the other end of the property. Close by for enquiries and far enough away to ensure the privacy of our guests. Photo from rear verandah.
